Fancy (Adopted)

Update 10/2024: Georgie has now been weaned and both she and Fancy are available for adoption! Fancy is currently having her training assessment done. She has accepted being saddled and mounted without any issues, but she does not seem to know much else at this point.

Fancy is a chestnut mare who came to MHARF in a September 2023 Carlton County humane case. She has had her intake veterinary work done and her date of birth is estimated as 2013.

Coal (adopted)

Coal is a black gelding who was born in spring of 2023. He came to us as a stud colt from a September 2023 Carlton County humane case. Coal was rejected by his mother, Fancy, during the move, but he was quickly adopted by Etta (who nursed both Coal and her filly, Carly). He was weaned and and gelded when ready. Unfortunately, in early April 2024 Coal suffered an injury from a kick by another horse while at a foster home.

Hazel

Update 04/25: Hazel is available for adoption at this time. Thunderbolt was weaned and adopted in 2024. Since that time Hazel has just been enjoying the good life at her foster home. Hazel is a friendly mare but is not yet broke to ride.

Update 10/11/23: Hazel and Thunderbolt were discharged from AEVS and are now enjoying life at HH Stables. Hazel will be available for adoption after Thunderbolt is weaned in late spring of 2024.

Leah (Transferred to GRG Ranch Rescue)

Leah is a chestnut mare who came to MHARF from a September 2023 Carlton County humane case. Leah had little handling in the past, but she learned to trust and was halter broke thanks to the kind handling and training from our friends at HH Stables.  In November, Leah was confirmed to be in-foal by blood test from UC Davis. She had a seemingly normal and healthy pregnancy, but, sadly,
